I use functional testing in order to establish any specific imbalances. The need for a functional test is determined on a case by case basis, in consultation with the client.

Functional Testing Options
GUT HEALTH ANALYSIS
For: bloating, gas, cramps, food sensitivities, joint pains, skin rashes, IBS, Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) and autoimmunity. Stool or breath test.
Comprehensive stool or breath tests evaluating the health of the gastrointestinal tract. The test evaluates digestion, absorption, metabolic and microbial markers.
ORGANIC ACID TEST (OAT)
For: mood disorders, fatigue, autoimmunity, weight issues, cognitive difficulty, failure to thrive, general health & sports performance. Urine test.
Simple urine test to identify any nutritional deficiency, establishing vitamin, mineral and fatty acid status and oxidative stress, as well as neurotransmitter function.
FEMALE HORMONE TESTS
For: unexplained fatigue, menopause, mood swings, hormone imbalance, irregular menstrual cycle, sleep patterns, low libido. Serum blood or saliva.
Hormone imbalances revealed can help illuminate root causes of disorders such as premenstrual syndrome (PMS), infertility, and menstrual irregularities. The tests are useful in finding the root cause of chronic gynecologic disorders.
COMPREHENSIVE THYROID TESTING
For: mood disorders, fatigue, autoimmunity, weight issues, cognitive difficulty, no resolution of symptoms despite medication . Blood test.
