Typical tests I use include:

  • Comprehensive stool test:  Comprehensive stool test evaluating the health of the gastrointestinal tract. The test evaluates digestion, absorption, metabolic and microbial markers.
  • Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO): Simple breath test to identify the presence of bacteria in the small intestine .
  • Adrenal stress test: Saliva test measuring levels of cortisol and DHEA (related to stress, fatigue, insomnia and hormone imbalance).
  • Hormone tests: Useful for any hormonal imbalance / change, e.g. menopause, hormone imbalance, irregular periods, unexplained infertility.
  • Comprehensive thyroid testing: Full thyroid hormone panel including thyroid antibodies (to identify Hashimoto's Thyroiditis) and Reverse T3 (not currently tested by the NHS).
  • Full vitamin and mineral testing: Organic acid test: Simple urine test to identify any nutritional deficiency, establishing vitamin, mineral and fatty acid status and oxidative stress.
  • Firstbeat Lifestyle AssessmentThe Firstbeat Lifestyle Assessment is a complete health and wellness check that reveals the link between lifestyle and health. The non-invasive heart rate variability monitoring reveals levels of stress and recovery during the testing period and offers insight in to the real quality of your sleep. The reports provide a powerful visual insight into how your body is ticking.

I use functional testing in order to establish any specific imbalances. The need for a functional test is determined on a case by case basis, in consultation with the client. I partner with a number of laboratories including Genova Diagnostics and Regenerus Laboratories to offer a range of clinical testing that is right for each client.
